Hi Team,I would like to use sling models with WCMUse/WCMUsePojo class. For I have written the below code -@Model(adaptables = Resource.class)public class SampleSlingModel extends WCMUse {    private static Logger LOG = LoggerFactory.getLogger(SampleSlingModel.class);    @Inject    private String title;    @Override    public void activate() throws Exception {        LOG.info("SampleSlingModel.activate():Title:" + title);    }    public String getTitle() {        return title;    }}I'm able to get the value of title in component's sightly HTML using get method but the activate method is not invoked. If a class is extending WCMUse should call activate() but it is not. Can you please help me in this?I tried to put @PostConstruct instead of @Override and activate method is called as sling model is treated it as just another method.Is it best practice to proceed with this as the methods which are there in WCMUse/WCMUsePojo will not be available in the sling models?Please suggest.Thanks,AryA

Hi folks,We've just started using tags in our instance for reporting purposes, and would like to add our new tags to all past and current programs. Is there a way to mass update tags on programs? For example, can I pull a report of all programs in the system, export them with an ID, add the tags to a spreadsheet, and re-import? Or is there a way to mass update through something like a Smart List? Would love your thoughts on how something like this can be accomplished with Marketo. Right now it's looking like a program-by-program update, which is surprising given that I assume business needs, and therefore tagging needs, evolve over time.Thanks!Cheers,Julia

Dear all,per the doc (Create a Custom Dynamics Sync Filter - Marketo Docs - Product Docs), if we want to filter the sync with MSD, we have to create fields which name has to be new_synctomkto. But is may happen that the field prefix is different and that the field name is prefix_synctomkto, whatever the prefix is in the MSD instance and IT being reluctant to have the prefix changed even for 1 field.Is it possible to have Support change this and accept another field name ?-Greg

Our clients use a lead management tool called Velocify. There is not an easy integration set-up between the two systems. The client's IT team has asked if, in support of the integration between Marketo and Velocify, Marketo could access a SQL database that houses all of the information from Velocify and several other applications. I am trying to add some custom validation to the Email and Phone fields on a form. After cobbling together a few scripts I found in the Forms 2.0 documentation and other discussions, I finally have the validation parts working. However, form submit is disabled if there is an error, and I can't figure out how to enable it again, therefore the form can't be submitted once all of the fields are correct. It can be submitted just fine if all the fields are filled out correctly from the start.I tried putting else { form.submittable(true)} after the if statements, but then the form submits before the next check is done. I've also tried putting it outside of the form.onValidate(function() but that does not work either.Obviously, I'm NOT well-versed in Javascript and I don't understand exactly how things are firing and how it's interacting with the baked in validation. I gather the custom validation is being processed after the regular validation is complete?Thanks in advance for any help.EDIT:

I have used out of the box feature of touch UI to search assets from DAM, In this process I have used few checkboxes also to enter the search criteria. I have my checkbox in /apps/dam/options/predicates/productlifecycle/XYZ...named as XYZ.I have used many methods to set the default value...attached the screen from same...PFAIs there any way to select one of the values from checkbox by default??

Hi folks,I'm trying to send a Live Event email with a different CTA for registered leads vs unregistered. I created the default CTA and the snippet for registered leads. That will be sent according to my segmentation.If I create an Events segmentation that doesn't specify a particular program, but only that they are marked as registered, I assume it will affect any lead registered for any event.Will the campaign smart list in a LE program layer over the segmentation smart list to filter out leads in other events?Basically - if I use that generic segmentation in a particular program, with campaigns specifying that the email should be sent to members of this program only, it will not include registered members of other events, even though the original segmentation applies to any registered lead, correct?

So I'm setting up a new SFDC and Marketo intergration, but even after reading all the different documentation, I'm still confused about some of the details. Here's some background:Currently, we have our Marketo database, which we send all marketing correspondence and nurturing from, and a SFDC database with only contact and account information. We're looking to push leads from Marketo to SFDC once they've reached a certain point in our nurture campaigns or lead scores. This is simple enough with the Marketo "Push lead to SFDC". Where it gets confusing is on the initial set-up.If I just follow the step-by-step guide (Professional Edition - Marketo Docs - Product Docs) then it will create duplicates of all the contacts in Marketo that are already in SFDC, and sync all leads to SFDC, correct? Or will instead just sync the contacts in SFDC to Marketo, creating duplicates in Marketo? Supposedly, Marketo dedups leads, but several threads have talked about duplications being an issue. I wonder if somebody has found a good solution to this problem: When I start an email with something like:Hello {{lead.First Name:default=Sir/Ma'am}},Often my database might not have a name in this field, or in the last name. Instinctively, the answer is "use the default".But what if I don't want to. Sir/madam is too formal. I'd really like to just have the result be: Hello,But that's not what I get. I get a space between "Hello" and the comma: "Hello ,"This may not seem like a big thing, but My proofreader would disagree. So, has anybody found a solution for having no default, but also hiding the space between hello and the comma?Thanks!

I've had members of our sales team contact me several times over the last few days because they are trying to send an email through Marketo Sales Insight, but the Send Marketo Email dropdown isn't appearing on select contact records. I'm not sure if this is a setting issue or what? Does anyone know?

I had a Marketo sandbox for our initial setup but have never otherwise used one. For those of you with a sandbox, is it worth the extra cost? Do you integrate your Marketo sandbox to your fullcopy SFDC sandbox? Does everyone get access or is it limited provisioning? How often do you refresh? How does testing work? Do you get access to releases early with sandbox?I come from a strong process background for SFDC and we do everything in sandbox before implementing in production. Digging into the source of hobbes it looks like it can be run to produce a junit xml style report. We'd love to incorporate the hobbes functional tests into our CI build, and this looks ideal. However, I can't see how to invoke hobbes in this mode. Can someone explain how we can run all the hobbes tests for a site and produce the junit XML report ?Thanks.

I'm guessing there's a very easy fix or obvious answer for this, but most of my initial campaigns (including one I have to send tomorrow!) are to late-stage sales opp's or customers, who are Contacts in Salesforce, not Leads. However, when I go to personalize my email greeting with a token, only "Lead First Name" is available, not Contact First Name. Any ideas?
