I dont know about others but I'm in love with the new editor. Yes, I do miss the earlier side by side view but this is a refreshing change and more importantly easy to use. I use a table more often these days and the new (Microsoft Word style) table creator is amazing.Keep it coming Marketo!

I am redoing our NPS survey and process now that we have Marketo up and running. I am considering using the SurveyMonkey integration with Marketo to manage this. Would be interested in feedback from others who are using this combo, as well as alternative suggestions. We are a really small company so I am looking for something that is easy to setup and doesn't cost a lot.

I am displaying a Marketo form on a non-marketo landing page via an iframe. Is there a way to capture the url of the parent page?  

Hi,The same newsletter differs  from each other, in edit view and preview view. But still it is the letter. It looks like the changes in edit mode does not folow thorugh to preview viewIs it any answer for this? Or is it something which can be fixed?Mvh thanks, Stina

Hello,Does anyone have any architecture documentation, etc. for wait steps: How they are processed, do they have an impact on Marketo performance, general best practices for global/scaled deployments, etc.I have never had an issue with them, meaning they have never slowed the delivery of mails to leads later in the smartcampaign (after the wait step) for campaigns with <50K leads in them.  But I am getting ready for a large deployment. (500K records in an engagement program). The send will be from a program (with smart campaign) inside an engagement stream.These leads are in different timezones, so the idea is:Trigger the first mailWait 7 hoursTrigger the second sendWait 8 HrsTrigger the third sendI would love to do it in one smartcampaign, but only if it will not slow the performance of the mail sends. They still need to go out at the right time. e.g. I cannot have the third mail be delivered 20 hrs after the first trigger, when it should have been 15 (8+7).Thanks,RM

Hello!  My company uses "person accounts" in Salesforce.  Does anyone know of a way to have a "lead" created in Marketo sync to Salesforce as a Person Account?

Would there be a reason I can't seem to see the option to create a new Segmentation in the Lead Database? Is it a feature you need to activate or should it be in the program automatically?

Hi. Is there a working url I can use that will navigate to a collection? Not necessarily the home collection, but the browse page of to the collection a user is already in. I want to add a button on an article page that will bring the user back to the browse page that article is housed in. Of course if I tap the page, the chrome drops down to display the back button, though management wants a button displayed on the page so the user doesn't have to tap to see the chrome to go back. Hi,I have two questions regarding social sharing:1. Can we choose which articles should have social sharing? For example, I have some articles that don't make sense sharing like user guide and credits. 2. Is it possible to customize the content on the web browser page the social share creates? For example, on the bottom of the page there is a "More content" and shows the three articles previous to the one shared. Can it be possible to choose which articles to place down there? or take it out completely?Thanks,Cindy J.

Basically, I want to create a flow that says if "nickname" is blank, copy the first name field to the nickname field.  Is there a way to do this with a smart campaign?  I've started it with:Smart list:Member of: My ListNickname is blankFirst Name is not blankBut on the flow, when I select "change data value", it doesn't give me an option on the right to match the first name field.Does anyone have a work-around for this?Josee

Hello Everyone-We have recently begun letting our sales reps use the Marketo Email tool in Salesforce, and I was wondering if there was any way to customize the Activity Type that is logged in Salesforce?Currently, any email that is sent using Marketo in Salesforce is pushed to Salesforce as a Task, but does not have an Activity Type attached in Salesforce. On the Salesforce side, I tried building a workflow rule that would make the 'Activity Type' equal 'Marketo Sales Email', but none of the workflow rules have worked. Is there a way to set any email sent using Marketo to make the Activity Type equal Marketo Sales Email?Basically, I want to be able to distinguish in Salesforce how many activities a rep logged with the Activity Type: Email (manual email sent), and Activity Type: Marketo Sales Email (sent using the Marketo tool).Any help or workarounds would be greatly appreciated. In Fast Company App They have a double menu titles that is styled and colored not like the default.How did they accomplish that as I would love to have something like thisHamburger MenuCurrent Issue (in grey)Spring/Summer Collection (in red)Previous Issue (in grey)Fall/Winter Collection (in red)All Articles (in grey)Article Archive (In red)The other feature they have is in the top right hand corner text that links to filter i would just like to put text there that links to a specific collection such as article archive.Can this be done in DPS 2015 or is this something custom that Fast Company was able to do, as I don't see where the options are to make those changes. To build the menu I put my collections and articles under the Default tablet and it gives me a menu.

I've an article that uses Documentation - Materialise form style, it works fine, but once in the device I'm not able to get the app navigation bar by tapping on the page. the only way go back to the collection is to swipe back. It only happen if I use Documentation - Materialise css and js, there must be something that gets in the way but since it is not possible to debug on the device it hard to say what.I could even attach the article to this post, if there was a way to do it.

Hi,we will be rolling out Marketo in combination with Salesforce in multiple countries in phases. For a period of time, we will have some countries already on Marketo landing pages, but they will not yet be on Salesforce. We'd like for leads for those countries to NOT be automatically synced to Salesforce. I found in the documentation how I can restrict or edit sync options for custom objects based on filters/ constraints on fields but I am not finding anything about standard objects.To clarify, I am not looking to restrict what comes from Salesforce into Marketo (I know I can do that with the Marketo salesforce user profile and role). I am trying to restrict what leads that get created in Marketo from a landing page do get synced to Salesforce. e.g. we have a field called "Sales country" and if = Germany for instance, then lead should be synced but if Austria then don't.Am I right to understand that once the sync is enabled (as described in the documentation):  Enterprise/Unlimited Ed

We would like to be able to track the refferal source of the first visit someone comes to our site, even if they don't fill out a form. I know that Marketo currently tracks "Original Referrer" but is there a way to include other information? Such as associating any utm tags with the lead without them filling out a form. 

We have a form that captures the referrer value from the query string. The form has a hidden field for the referrer. It works HERE in a non-iframe situation. We now want to use the iframe delivery method for a different form on a different page, so the form is loaded into a page on our web site via an iframe. I need it to capture the referrer (ref) value from the parent URL: i.e. xxx.com/static/400/?ref=DM What script is required in the iframe page that has the form? Anything else? Many thanks!

I haven't been able to use my text token URL as a trigger for  'Clicked Link in Email' in my Smart Campaign. I'm using the suggested token format for URLs (use in the email itself, only include the rest of the URL in the text token). The token link appears in the drop down list ({{token}}), but it does not cause an action. I'm trying to change the Program Status based on the lead clicking the token in the email. Is this set up incorrectly?

How can we generate an .article from an html file? Is there a documentation?

I want to see how many people were influenced by a nurturing campaign, THEN were added to an opportunity. The keyword in the previous sentence is THEN. Another way to say it is: I want to see who are members of one program, THEN became members of another program. Is there any way to put a date range on the MEMBER OF filter? Is there a way to chronologically view successes?

We're approaching our one year anniversary with Marketo and I'm taking the time to reevaluate a lot of initial decisions we made, now that we have a better understanding of the platform.One of the simple, yet oh-so-complex, decisions we made was about our Lead Statuses in Salesforce. Originally, we decided not to use a Lead Status of "Nurture" or "Recycle" because we identified particular Disqualification Reasons to fall under this bucket. However, we're now tackling the goal of cleaning out a large quantity of leads from our SDRs' queues and want to remove all the leads they were never able to get in contact with. Essentially, we need to implement a time-based rule to act as an outflow so after "X" weeks leads are moved from an SDR queue to a Marketing-owned Nurture/Recycle stream. My thought: we can easily add a Lead Status of Nurture or Recycle, make sure leads with those statuses don't count against SDR quotas and continue to reach out occasionally via nurture streams. We are looking for a way to pull lists via the API into a database that our AEs can use to make calls. Since we do not use Salesforce we do not have an out-of-the-box call system integrated with Marketo. We do have a standalone call system database that I'd like to import Marketo leads into via the API. Since smart lists cannot be accessed via the API, we have to use static lists. But static lists do not update based on real-time actions. I'm considering making smart lists and campaigns to push contacts into static lists then pulling the static list via the API. Then I could update the static lists every few hours or daily. For example, one list would have a smart list, smart campaign and static list. I'd set up my filters to choose the leads I want for the specific list in the smart list, set up my smart campaign with a smart list of "member of smart list", flow "add to list" and then pull the static list via the API with all of the fields we want and need. I've had a request lately where the business would like to see all emails that have been sent to individuals they are associated with.We can easily make this connection with the Contact Record Type as they all share the same type.What we'd like to see is a list of all these individuals and each of the emails they have been sent.We don't want to have to look at the Activity Logs and we don't want to have to select individual emails.Can this be done?Thank you
