We have several sites hosted in our AEM cloud instance. When we want to add a new site, we add the domain and SSL cert in the cloud manager, then we addnew vhosts file in dispatcher/src/conf.d/available_vhosts and a symbolic link in enabled_vhosts.  Thats it. We don't do anything with farms config.   Looking for documentation, there only seems to be one way to add new sites, using farms: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-dispatcher/using/configuring/dispatcher-domains.html?lang=en   The question is, 1. what are farms? 2. what are the pros/cons of using farms vs just vhosts? 3. why is the easy route to adding domains via a vhost file not documented?  I.e. is there a problem with using this method?          

Hello everyone, I am facing issue in merging two pdfs with assembler service using external data URLs in DDX, which is location of the PDF from my local file system.   I am following the below process: Environment details - AEM 6.5 (On-Premise) Forms-add-on package (adobe-aemfd-win-pkg-6.0.640.zip), OSGI forms & output service. When I hit the delivery api for the server side recommendation activity I do not get any content in response. The collection that the activity is using has the products and the activity is not using any exclusion.   Can anyone advise why the activity is not returning any recommendation products?   Thank you.

Hello, One of our supplier helping us to deploy Marketo used progressive profiling script from @sanfordwhiteman on our Website to get benefit from Progressive Profiling when Landing Page isn't hosted on Marketo. Progressive profiling is working fine when the contact is recognized. However, for unknown people reaching our form, we noticed a small issue related to predefined fields. Actually, we do have a field to select the country that is set to a predefined value. When person isn't known and recognized, the default value is removed. We did try to debug script to understand what is happening. In debug mode, we saw that at the begining of the display of the page, our default value for country is well displayed. However, later call of simpleDTO script is removing the value. Hi, we're running a smart campaign and from the email link performance we can see that 5 people have clicked on a link to download an asset (image 1), however,  when I run a smart list to see who has downloaded the asset it doesn't return any results (image 2). There was also a separate smart campaign flow that was supposed to push any clicks in to a Salesforce campaign but no one has been pushed through that either, which was what made us question this. Can anyone explain why those 5 people that clicked aren't showing up anywhere?      

I am trying to utilize the built-in search function in AEM 6.5 for searching assets. I have a few questions about its capabilities: Is it possible to search for keywords inside a text file (such as a .txt or .css file)? Is there a way to export the search results as a .csv or .txt file? Are there any restrictions on the characters that can be used in the search keywords? When searching for content fragments, is it able to search data in all types of fields within the content fragments? I have looked through the official documentation at https://adobe.ly/3JyRIwr but it seems to be limited in this information. I would appreciate any help or resources on these topics.

I need to unlink a proof. I know how to delete a proof version. I need a way to separate two proof versions OR duplicate a proof with comments and delete the proof versions. The help article says click more and select "Unlinking Proof Versions" that option doesn't exist. 

We have a workflow that will activate the page upon approval from some users. The workflow sends an email to those users whenever someone requests page publication.   When a page activation is scheduled later point then we need to send that date in the email. Are there any OOTB variables just like those mentioned here in Workflow Email Notification Service that I can use in the email template?    

Our app takes around 2 hours for Adobe to build and deploy to a non prod env.   The vhost files are somewhat complex, and apache rewrite rules easy to get wrong.  Most of it we do by trial and error.   As build takes so long, we are lucky to try 3 one line vhost changes in 24 hour period, which makes simple vhost change development stretch to weeks.   We heard that there is a way to deploy only dispatcher changes, which presumably is quicker.   However, if we "add pipeline" and select "web tier config" it says:   "your existing Full Stack pipeline will change Creating a Web Tier config will cause the current web tier configuration in the Full Stack pipeline to be ignored"   This makes no sense - why would adding pipeline to just deploy dispatcher changes (manual trigger) break our full stack deployment pipeline?  We should be able to run either.   When the devs push changes, it could be either dispatcher, code or both so the full stack

Hi All,   I have a website, where I am implementing the Opt-In feature using the Experience Cloud plugin via Launch configurations.   Here, when the user accepts to allow all cookies - all ECID cookies and app measurement cookies are set. Now, user changes their preference from accepting to denying All cookies. Here, the feature works fine. But, the ECID cookies(AMCV and AMCVs) and app measurement cookies (s_**) stay in the browser. If the user has already said deny, then the cookies must be deleted. Is there anything, I am missing in my understanding? Please help me here.   Thanks in advance!

To do this, I used the formula @eventdate=DateOnly(DaysAgo(22)), like the one suggested by ACS in the advanced mode. Hi all, I have a workflow with an enrichment activity where I add a string column (named "my_column" for example) . The issue is that this string has a length of 512 characters, and when I try to execute the workflow it gives me an error because the string is truncated to 256. Hi,   I'm having trouble understanding inclusion and return criteria. I'm trying to look at users that purchase and then users that come back and purchase again? Would this be the right way of doing it in a cohort retention analysis in workspace? Also, if I wanted to look at strictly new purchases and then understand return purchase retention, how would I do that? Is that a new user segment with order >=1 in the inclusion criteria and then repeat user segment with orders >=1 in the return criteria?
