As you may or may not know, I've created an integration between Jive and Marketo that uses WebHooks, and I see tons of value with just that piece of the integration. However, we are nearly 6 months into our integration, and as we start to add more and more uses of WebHooks, we are finding that the rigidity in configuration is sending us down a path where there is a foreseeable management problem. Currently, a WebHook is defined as a distinct Server Call (such ://host/context/resource?parameter=values…) rather than a distinct resource ( ://host/context/resource ) … This means that in the event I want to call the same WebHook service with different parameters, I have to setup completely new WebHooks. For things like integrating with VEvent, where we need to pass in new Ids each time a new event comes up…this means a constant creation of new one-off WebHooks that rarely gets deleted. To help with this, I propose the following model be setup: 1.) Create an independent "Ho
It's my understanding that Marketo tracks page views on a given landing page using an analysis of log files. In contrast, Google Analytics uses javascript. The benefit of using javascript is that you can be relatively confident that robots are unable to trigger a view. The downside of letting robot get into page views is that it will throw off all of your landing page conversion metrics.
Hi, Anybody noticed the arbitary changes to the UI? Change of colors in areas, smart-fill broken, areas of pointless shading that takes focus away form the job the I/F is meant to do. Right click on a folder, add a local asset and the UI still asks what folder you want to put it in. 99% of the time I want it in the folder I clicked on. Opened ticket, of course no immediate changes to the UI, but really looking to know if the community accepts random un-connected changes to the UI, when more shold be expected from their PM group.
When I create a form I find myself scrolling forever looking for the fields I want to add.If there was a search funtion for form fields, that would make life easier :)
Hi Guys!Recently had an issue with email deliverability which looked odd so the first place I jumped to was the community to see if there was any notification of some kind of outage/issue.After a few days, I had a response to my post on the community about the error and it was discovered and fixed days ago but no notification was sent/accessible even though it had longer term effects on my campaign. This outage had a fairly major impact on a couple of my clients and I think it would have been important to receive / be able to look-up some form of notification instead of just discovering that something was wrong through trial and error... So my idea is to have a section in the community where we can go to see if there are any outages that could affect our campaigns. I wouldn't expect to see EVERY support request in the section, but things like "Brief email outage caused by a temporary spam listing - resolved within 2 hours, please check your active campaigns because you may receive
The Stream tiles don't allow you to see the full email or program name when adding content to the the Engagement Stream, which can make the odds of chosing the right content (especially emails in programs) pretty low. Plus even after you've chosen it, the full name is cut off, so you still can't be sure that it is correct. And you can't delete the conent if it is incorrect. See screen shots below. The UI needs to provide the ability to view the full name of the content before and after selecting it.
If I do a search for a term in Marketing Activities, the left box shows all the places that specific word exists. This is fine and working as intended, but after I find what I'm looking for and select the right asset and clear the search box, all the folders/programs are still expanded in the sidebar. It would be great if after a search either everything collapses, or everything but the main folder of the object you've clicked on and selected!
I just started working with GoToWebinar. We host the same webinar once a week, and I wanted to make it really simple to setup by cloning the program week after week. Because of this, sending the confirmation email directly from GoToWebinar seemed to be simpler than doing so in Marketo. When I register for the webinar once, I do receive a confirmation email. However, if I register again for the same webinar with the same email address I do not receive a second confirmation email. I am wondering if since I am already registered, when I register again, there isn't a change in my program status so it doesn't push anything over to GoToWebinar, and I therefor do not receive that second confirmation email. In the progression status, I do have it set so "Each lead can flow through flow every time."I have two questions. First, has anyone experienced this before and developed a workaround for this? Second, what has been your experience sending confirmation emails via Marketo v
When an existing lead submits a form that uses the Web service API to send the form data to Marketo, there is no trigger that we can use to detect such an event. For new leads we can use the 'Lead is Created' trigger with the 'Source Type = Web Service API' constraint. We really need a similar trigger for existing leads.
It would be great if after you 'Like' an idea the screen does not bring you back to the top of the page. Instead, it would refresh to the same location of the idea you recently voted for.
Hi, I'm re-building our email templates and I want to use my own 'view as webpage' link instead of MKTO's auto generated one found in the email settings. This way, we can embed the link into our email and position/place it where we want.In this case, there are two benefits for me:1. I want to position it inline with other links such as 'forward to a friend' and 'unsubscribe'. 2. MKTO places it at the top-most part of the email so the Outlook "AutoPreview" in peoples inboxes always reads "To view as webpage click..." instead of grabbing a strategically placed summary/CTA of the email which would help opens.Cam
Perhaps there's a way to do this, but I haven't been able to find it... but it would be nice to be able to selectively remove leads from the new engagement programs. I included some leads that shouldn't have been in the initial load and would like to exclude them from future lead track emails. I supposed I could move them over to an empty track based on the criteria, but it would be nice to remove them completely. Since there's an 'Add to Engagement Program' step, it would be handy to have a 'Remove' as well.
Email clients usually show a preview of an email body. I'd like to be able to modify that preview in the email. For example, "View as webpage" might be the first text that the customer sees. I'd like to choose what they read when they first look at my emails.

The subscriptions section of the reports is great, but what if you want to send a one-time snapshot report without running an export? Would it be worth-while to have a "share this report" link?
As the world moves on, we need Marketo to do the same. Can you please consider supporting the current versions of jQuery? Currently v1.8.3 looks like the last supported version from my limited testing.Cheers,Eric
I want to be able to have a list of every type of email we send internally and then have empoyees be able to go into the form and select which sections of emails they would like to receive. Is there a way I can make a form that does this?
The Engagement Program deep dive covers building new engagement programs (including nurture) from scratch, but I don't see anything about transitioning an existing program into a new Engagement Program. It would be nice to have a help article or video about this that answers questions like the following. After I add my nurture programs to the Engagement program, how do I ensure that the existing nurture program members are added to the Engagement Program and the next email in the series will be sent to them at the correct time interval since their last email? Also, how do I ensure that leads don't continue to run in the old programs? How do I add those nurture program members that are in the exhausted content list to that status in the Engagement Program? How do I ensure that my email stats from previous nurture program sends are combined with the email stats from the new Engagement Program? How do I ensure that previous nurture program status values are transitioned to the n
Many users write questions looking for crowd wisdom on best practices. Wouldn't you like to see survey results on these questions? When do you plan to migrate to the customer engagement module What is your average Click through rate? What is the conversion rate of your best landing page? It would be great to be able to create surveys within the community.
Custom program tags are not available in the Customer Engagement Program "Setup" tab. We need these tags for reporting classification for territories, product lines, business units, etc. I understand any child programs have tags, but I need local assets to parent program to be associated as well.Disclaimer: I'm am just building out my first Customer Engagement Program, so I may be missing something since I do not have any reporting to review. Local assets to the Engagement Program, though, aren't classified to any tags, and this is a problem.
In Engagement programsI would prefer that there was a "Daily" email option under Stream Cadence. Daily would mean that depending on the days of the week you set, they could get one email on each of those days. That would change the logic for "Weekly" emails, which would mean if you selected each day of the week, they could only receive one email per week, but it could be on whichever day of the week was 1 week after the last engagement email they received. Or 2 weeks after the last engagement email they received.Under this example, because it was set on Weekly, not Daily, this screenshot would mean that every 2 weeks (from the last engagement email that was sent) someone is eligible to receive an email any day of the week except Monday & Friday.Use Case - I'll never use daily emails unless it's for something super specific like a multiday user conference. My users don't want to hear from me that often. But I do believe that you should approach people in respect to when they approach
Here you can see the new cobalt interface for creating a new local asset, new email. Before there was a little email preview button next to the template. This is a really important functionality for my (especially new) colleagues to understand which email template to chose. Please readd the preview button to the cobalt interface.
The engagement program module doesn't provide a straightforward means to test who will receive what email. There should be an option for testing that will accelerate the cadence to once every ten minutes. As streams get longer, even testing once per day can take a few weeks.
The analytics for email campaigns are not very attractive and require a little bit of work outside of the system to visualize the data in a user-friendly format. It would be great if we could view a variety of charts (and if possible with drill-down capabilities) that demonstrate useful info:1) Clicks and Opens over time (line graph)2) Opens by region (pie graph)3) Clicks by specific link (bar graph and pie graph as two choices)Thank you.
I would like to sort members in new customer engagement program by dates, only thing I can find to sort that is even close is the lead ID numberJust looking to view most recent activity at the top of the members view as we get more familiar with how engagement works.
