We are hosting embedded Marketo forms on our website. When a user fills it in, a thank you page loads. If the user did not opt-in on the prior page's form, a query string vaue "opt-in" is updated to "no," which triggers a dynamic section of the web page to display soliciting the opt in. This section includes a single field form to capture email address and opt the user in.  Because the user would have just filled out a form on the previous page, we'd like to populate the field with the email that had just been submitted. Originally, we were passing the email value in the query string, however that went against GA compliance since we would have been capturing PII in our web analytics.  Is there another way to leverage the Custom HTML for Known Visitor or other Marketo-based capability to enable this functionality?

Hi there, I'm trying to wrap my head around a Salesforce-specific use case: I would like to use data from a case related to the contact's account in my email template. I would also like to write an activity (task) into the case when the email is opened. The scenario unfolds as this:I created a case X under Account AI add Contact B from Account A to my campaign CWhen setting up the template, I want to pull in information from case X to the email template.When the recipient opens the email, I want Marketo to write an activity under case X. So I do know that I can use the custom object sync to make case data available in Marketo, but how can I make sure I pull data from the correct record? And how can I write back into that specific case? Any ideas how to manage this would be appreciated.

My organization implemented Marketo last year.  We have the Dedicated IP feature but also ended up delivering email through a corporate email relay (Marketo>Corporate email relay>Internet).  While they did several months of 'IP Warming', we are now planning to disconnect from the corporate email relay (email directly from Marketo).  Is IP Warming required again if our Dedicated IP is unchanged? I am asking about this because I wonder if the purpose of the warming is more for the last hop prior to delivery (which would have been our corporate email relay).  Now that the messages will deliver directly from Marketo, I'm uncertain if we are still OK or need to warm all over again.  

Hi all,I would like to get some help with setting up a velocity script for a program token that should display the correct salutation in my German emails --> In German, you need to differentiate between male and females in the salutation, and this also has an effect on how you write certain words.I have absolutely no experience with creating such scripts, so it would be great if someone could easily explain what kind of script I should use.I found the following script on http://developers.marketo.com/email-scripting/ . Hi everyone,  I have a question for you all. So I have a promotion where we want only 1 person from a domain to receive a coupon code. So for example, person1@ABC.com fills out a form and gets their coupon. Then person 2 from @ABC.com attempts to fill out the same for for the same offer. What I'm trying to do is to block person 2 from @ABC.com from receiving the offer because Person1 already claimed it.  The idea I had was to create some custom code that took the email domain and put it on a list, then checked that list for each subsequent form submission to see if that email domain was already on said list. The challenge I'm having is that my developer team does not want to store this information outside Marketo.  So - does anyone know if there is a way to store this in Marketo and call this code to process when each person fills out a form?

Hi,My website has events that fire on both Search Results and the Product Pages.I want to be able to say "x number of Searches happened WITHOUT a subsequent Product view" and "x number of Searches happened WITH a subsequent Product view" So for example if this were my hit data:VISIT 1Page1Search ResultsVISIT 1Page2Product PageVISIT 1Page3Search ResultsVISIT 1Page4Product PageVISIT 1Page5Search Results ~ VISIT ENDS ~I would want the resulting count of search events (or even pageviews) to be:Searches Resulting in Product ViewSearches NOT Resulting in Product View21 Can anyone tell me how this is possible in Adobe, give a single visit might contain both sequences? Thanks,Luke

We have been digging into our unsubscribe sources and noticed a significant amount are coming from list-unsubscribe. For the people who unsubscribe using the list-unsubscribe header,  I am assuming that they are NOT counted in email analytics? I do know  that unsubscribers need to use a form to be counted as an unsubscribe from a specific email asset. (This article is also a good reference.) Thanks for confirming.

We had an issue with out SMPP/SMS Provider yesterday with our Throughput, they raised it for us but then also said this I have investigated your issue and see that you are sending over your current throughput. We have increased your throughput and this should resolve your issue. Please unbind and bind back in and let me know if you are still having issues. I am not sure how unbind and bind back. Any help would be great.Thanks

Hi everyone,In the past, I have successfully completed tests using the Adobe template regarding exit intent across my website.  When I create an A/B (or EXP) test using this template on a landing page I created in AEM, the pop-up successfully fires within the modification section of setup.  BUT when I go to use the QA links after setup and prior to activation, the pop-up does not fire.  I also activated the test to try in production but still, it did not fire at all.  I tried it in incognito mode as well.  I am willing to post the code I am working with but here is a screenshot of what SHOULD pop up:Please let me know if you have a solution!Thanks,Ian

Hi I'm using a deduplication activity and choosing 2 fields to base the deduplication on, in the next step, I choose a field that differentiate the records, which a numeric value. When I pick "Using an expression" method and choose the field and the option to Keep the records with the smallest/largest value I doesn't work - it picks the last (if largest is chosen) or first (if smallest is chosen) record from the duplicates from the previous transition, totally disregarding the value in the field picked.  Any ideas why would this happen?

We have a use case in our project where we need to create an aem asset repository. This would cater assets to multiple other enterprise projects. We are using aem6.4. Please suggest means in which we can achieve this scenario.We have tried creating Content Fragments, to expose the contents. But we could only get the json from the page created with the content fragment, and not from the fragment directly. But if we are using aem assets, is there a way to generate json for the content fragment directly.

If we configure AEM 6.5 with Target via Launch, do we still need to configure Target via Legacy Cloud Services?

I want to use json data instead of custom objects to store event visit information. The idea is the following :[  {    "event_name":"EventA",    "event_year":"2020",    "event_received_score":3,    "event_received_demo":true  },  {    "event_name":"EventB",    "event_year":"2020",    "event_received_score":4,    "event_received_demo":false  }] How will Marketo react if I want to query for event_name = "EventA" and "event_received_score" > 3 within that same event. Not creating a true for "event_received_score" based on the value in the second event object ( "EventB" ) Can this be solved?

Afternoon all.I have a scenario where on a daily basis, I need to extract all leads that have had an expiry date reached.It would be reasonable to assume that this will result in around 1,000 - 2,000 records each day needing to be extracted.Is Bulk extract the way to go?  If so, how will I filter on the field in question?CheersJo

Hi,We have AEM LDAP connected to Azure Active Directory and we realized that the new Users added in Azure AD under a specific Active Directory DN which is in sync to AEM via LDAP Sync Handler doesn't sync new Users to AEMDoes AEM LDAP  configuration Synchronize newly added AD Users in to AEM Automatically ? or it just keeps track of existing Users? New Users are synced when we manually invoke syncAllExternalUsers in JMX console though Any ideas appreciated  Thanks,Ganesh Bogga

Hello,  I'm exporting a .csv file using a Query, a Data Extraction activity and a File Transfer activity. But the File Transfer fails because the specified folder does not exist on the server. I'm using an SFTP server and  I expect Adobe Campaign to create a new folder every month, so I set the server folder as follows:Main Folder/<%= formatDate(new Date(), "%4Y") %>/<%= formatDate(new Date(), "%2M") %>/ So I should get:Main Folder/2020/02/file.csv Adobe is able to create the folders in AWS S3 buckets, not sure why it cannot create folders in SFTP or if I need to do something to make this happen. Thanks!
