Hi All,As we all know, Adobe Analytics will only store historical data for so long, so we are curious what other customers do with the data that will be purged from Analytics.We're exploring the Data Feed export option, however are struck by the challenges this raw data provides with regard to formatting it in a way that can be useful for analysis and long term trending. Since we can only limit it based on the date range and the fields exported, we can't apply rules that could help us organize it properly wherever it lands.So here are my questions --1. Do you export the data before it's purged? If so, do you use Data Feeds to accomplish this or another method? 2. For storing the data, do you put it in a data lake never to be referenced? Or do you restructure it somewhere?3. Is this an in-house process or do you work with a third party to make the data useful again?Thank you for sharing!Robbie

Our organization uses the DCS API for on-boarding of CRM data (for various reasons, we're not permitted to use the AAM file transfer mechanism).  DCS is fine for qualifying a user for rule-based traits, but how can we disqualify a user?  For example, suppose we have a trait User Gives Consent for which a given user is qualified and later that user withdraws their consent.  To comply with GDPR rules we should disqualify that user within 72 hours.  But how?If we limit our User Gives Consent trait to a lifetime of 72 hours then okay it'll expire, but then we need to keep refreshing the trait needlessly for all those (possibly millions) of users whose consent doesn't change.  This seems like a brute force solution.  Has anyone else got a better idea?  I did hear rumours of a DCS API upgrade coming in 2019 that would include a trait disqualification feature.  Here's hoping! 

Hello,This article describes the very powerful feature added to Adobe Launch that allows DCRs to include additional event data as a second parameter to the call to _satellite.track(...) - Direct Call Rule with Additional Parameters in Adobe Launch This functionality would be extremely useful for us but have an unusual problem. Our dataLayer contains keys with a '.' character, e.g. { foo.bar: "example" }. I can't access these values as I would expect, using %event.detail["foo.bar"]% through the UI. This does work as custom code (option 2 in the docs reference above). Am I missing something or is this unsupported?ThanksTom

Hi,I was trying to use Logon method instead of static token (MC/password) provided by Adobe for messaging center, I got the 403 Forbidden and XSV-350012 Invalid login or password when I use SOAP UI for the testing. According the Adobe document below, it seems like the server URL https://serverURL/nl/jksp/soaprouter.jsp needs to be white-listed in the url permissions section of the serverconf.xml file. I am confused, I thought my computer IP need to be white-listed in the security zone area in serverconf.xml file. Can anyone clarify which IP or URL need to be whitelisted and send me the sample code to be added to serverConf.xml?Thanks,

I would like to better understand the intended use for customizing the default metadataschema to add additional out-of-the-box Standard Tags form fields.  I have been doing some testing with it and am confused by the results I see:I’ve customized the default metadata schema by adding a Standard Tags field to it.  This new field maps to a custom property (for instance:  ./jcr:content/metadata/myTags).  After doing this, the out-of-the-box Tags field no longer works properly:It doesn’t display all the that were previously saved to cq:tags It’s no longer a tag picker field (see 2 screenshots following)2. The out-of-the-box Tag References feature doesn't seem to work for tags saved in custom properties.  For instance, in the screenshots below, I've saved the "Grayscale" tag to the custom property "myTags".  Yet, there is no reference displayed for it in the Tags UI:3. Hello,We have just installed Service Pack 4 in our servers and ContextHub is now failing to show Ui Modes.We are getting this error in the Chrome console, while trying to edit a Segment (Audience):Uncaught TypeError: window.injectContextHubUI is not a functionThe segmentation is not working at all within our pages, and the segmentation toolbar is also not being displayed while previewing content.Anyone knows a solution for this?(Edited: by the way, I am migrating from 6.4 SP3)

Hello,I would like to know how it is possible that when I break down a specific Tracking Code for "Entry Page Original" that there are pages the visitors enter that we never promoted in a social ad.Mostly 90% is the page we promoted but the other 10% are sites that we never promoted in the ad. How is it possible that those Pages are listed?The goal is to break down the Trackingcodes, what the first Page visit from the visitor was.Thank you for your help.Best Regards

Is there step-by-step instructions posted anywhere for setting up campaign tracking for digital advertising?  Our company hasn't used it before and I'm new to the Adobe platform, as well as haven't setup campaign tracking before.  The company I was at before we had our own tool that generated the tracking information without us having to set it up ourselves.  Is there any overview or resources available that clearly describes the steps to setting it up? Thanks!

HiI have issue in logging in CQ5. I was running CQ5 on other secure network  yesterday, and today system crashed. When i am trying to logged in on localhost:4502. Hi,I'm trying to make the query string to be cached in dispatcher in separated files. Have read an article about Configuring Dispatcher, I tried /ignoreUrlParams { /0003 { /glob "*" /type "allow" } }but it keeps caching one files instead of multiple files as I'm trying to used many queries. For example:I tried: mywebsite.com/homepage.html?x=1 and mywebsite.com/homepage.html?y=2, but the cache only have homepage.htmlIs there any way to make multiple caches by different queries?Any help would be appreciated.My apache version is 4.2.2.Many thanks,Manh

When I target my image screens component, Context Hub doesn't get swapped out.This is the expected outcome.If I enable this, context hub doesn't work.Is this expected? Do they not work with each other?

Hey there,I'm trying to set up a segment to track new purchasing customers in Adobe Analytics Workspace, and I want to be sure I've done this correctly.The logic is that I want to capture visitors making their first purchase within the last 53 weeks, but I'm not sure if this set up is saying that. I've pasted an image of the settings I'm using right now. I believe this is saying "Return every site visitor in the last 53 weeks with 0 orders, but THEN makes an order" into this segment. I did play with some Only after Sequence settings, but that killed the segment. Anyone here with a lot of experience in building stuff like this have any insight?Thank you.

I'm using a server side script, tied up with sightly via use api. So, while checking the dynamic values of various variables I'm finding a bit difficult as :1. If the object is nested deeply, with lots of attributes , then logging (log.debug())at Object type level isn't effective. 2. console.log() does not also seem working out.3. I have intelliJ community edition; I installed chrome plugin for JB and configured the remote debugger by syncing the port ; but yet not able to add breakpoints.So in client side scripts, putting a breakpoint is easier to check values at runtime at debug console. But in this case, scripts will directly not get rendered as JS source. So please suggest if there is any suitable way to do so??Thanks,DJ

I've got a workflow model that I want to run after DAM update asset finishes without modifying the DAM update asset workflow itself. I know that DAM_UPDATE_ASSET_COMPLETED event triggers at the end of DAM update, but I'm not sure how I can leverage this in my Workflow Launcher conditions. Is this possible, or is the only way to do this by creating an event listener with the workflow model logic inside?All help is appreciated.Thanks

I'm trying to customize the validation for a couple of Asset Metadata fields. I need to make the Title and Description required. I also need to implement additional restrictions on the field values (no capital letters, no blank spaces, etc..., but I could do that on the js file). I have a few questions:1) Why is my overlay attempt not working? (summary of what I did to follow)2) What is the location of the javascript files that manage those fields? I wish to implement the rest of the validation there but I can't seem to find the appropriate files to edit and overlay. As a follow up, what is the recommended way to find the client side code under libs. I'm a backend dev with limited front end experience. When does adobe count a visit? Does the page need to be fully loaded so that it counts as a visit?Or is the info “Visit” already triggered as soon as the page starts to load? When exactly does analytics register a “Visit” on a Page of ours?

Hi,I'm trying to create a metric which shows the median purchase value. The range of sums can be quite large, so the mean can be skewed by large orders reducing its usefulness.I have tried using the median function but it isn't behaving as I would expect. What I would ideally like to do is have a median value metric and be able to apply this to a number of different dimensions. So for example have a table of products (A,B,C) and the value to be the median value spent on each. Then break this down by client and see the median value each client placed into products A B or C.At the moment the median metric I have created seems to be working for time ranges - so it'll give me the correct figure for a particular day, but is not working when other dimensions are introduced (the same median value is given to all the elements in the dimension). I have even tried putting segments within the calculated metric, but this then (bizarrely) it just returns the total sum of the values!I'm guessing my
