I'm looking at how we can manage the deployment of additional packages to AEM through our various environments in a controlled way. We have a few types of packages:Library packages e.g. ACS commonsAEM Framework fixes e.g. Feature packs, hotfixes and service packsFor library packages we are using the content-package-maven-plugin and setting these as sub packages. The slightly annoying thing with this is that they install every time they are deployed even if the package is already on the environment (not sure if there is something to prevent this?)For AEM Framework fixes I'm not sure how best to approach this, we certainly don't want to reinstall service packs every time we deploy but I also want to ensure any changes to environments are commited and go through our standard deployment pipeline rather than a sys admin logging onto the AEM instances and ad-hoc deploying. I'm very keen to ensure as much automation and as little window for human mistakes e.g. forgetting to deploy fix pack X

I am trying to use Velocity math tool to populate the last orderid for a customer. I can't quite seem to get the Velocity script to run properly.When dragging the custom object variable, the following is inserted: ${jobItemList.get(0).jobItemId}I do not understand what the get(0) is doing. Is it trying to pull a minimum value? First value? I want to pull the maximum value. I was trying to use a $math.max variable, but nothing seems to be working.Any advice is greatly welcome! I see error messages stating "no fault routes were found to be configured" in the logs. I have googled this, in hopes of finding some dokumentation, with no success. I suspect it is some way creating exception handling in the process. What does this mean? How do I configure these "fault routes"?

Hi,Can a screen be implemented on AEM 6.2 where the end user on a particular web page can drag-n-drop widgets on a placeholder from a set of widgets displayed on the left side navigation ?  The end user should also be able to add or remove a column or a widget from the website dashboard page.Each widget is like a data driven component which is populated by REST JSON response coming from external system. Since external systems and data come from a different data center and domain than the one hosting AEM and they are not connected in any way because of various security reasons, hence server side calls are not possible. I want to force the use of SSL in the admin interface of the publish instance.  Configuring this "https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/deploy/configuring/config-ssl.html#Forcing the Use of the SSL Port", does just that.  However, I need my dispatcher to connect over http (set through dispatcher.any).  This appears to work but now I'm wondering why publish does not force the redirect to SSL.

Our objectives are: 1. We want to design  PDF forms which can be fillable, collapsible and interactive (validations). 2. The PDF form must be able to save filled-in information and simultaneously generate a dynamic 2D barcode containing the data filled in on the form. 3. The form should operate independently at end-user level on acrobat reader. That is the end-user does not need to download any extension to be able to fill-in, generate the barcode and save the form. 4. I saw a thread on the community from last year (Custom Objects and Revenue Cycle Explorer ) that confirmed you can't integrate Custom Object fields in Revenue Explore, but that it might be an upcoming feature. Does anyone know if its still the case that you cant or if this can now be done?

Hello, brand new to Adobe Target and new to these forums, but glad i've found a place where i can look to others for advance.I've been on the training course, but it was still high level and not really tailored to an eCommerce site.  So hope you can help with this one.I have a site that has over a million products.   If i hand picked 500 of these products and wanted to display a common message on their product detail pages.  Is this even possible?I.e can i set up a target or segment based on a long list of SKU's that i can upload to Target or Analytics?Hopefully the above makes sense and is a really simple Q to answer.Thanks

Hi, We have recently moved on from AEM 6.0 to AEM 6.2. We can see that in the DAM Asset Update workflow, a step has been added to the workflow to create the subassets of a particular DAM asset. For PDF and PPT, we can see that there are sub assets created for each page/slide of the asset with primary type as dam:Asset. It appears similar to http://help-forums.adobe.com/content/usergenerated/content/adobeforums/en/experience-manager-forum/adobe-experience-manager/_jcr_content/forum/5_ciot/tg7e-hello_all_ihave/1_tosp/1xlq-_smacdonald2008wro/attachments/pdf.png. I can see that the subassets creation was present in earlier CQ versions as well, but the definition of subasset has changedCQ 5.2+ - https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/kb/HowToRemoveSubAssetGenerationFromDAMWorkflow.html. This mentions that the workflow only creates renditions and metadata of the asset. I have been trying to add it using Adobe's DTM using Google Universal Analytics tool and adding the container tag using "Customize Page Code" option. Hi all,I record very specific events into Custom Objects linked to Leads. For example if a user has clicked on a specific link that I'd like to track, I'll create a Custom Object out of that event and this CO will include extra data than the one that Marketo holds in the Activity Log. (which is why I create a CO instead of using the Activity Log)I'd like to be able to target COs that have specific properties based on the data that is in their fields, for example:- Has CO- dateTime is in timeframe Yesterday- partnerURL is not emptyIf I create a Smart List with this criteria and it generates a list of leads that are linked to COs that match this criteria. Then I send an email each day with a personalized message and the partnerURL link so that the user can click on it. To do this I fetch the size of the CO and then retrieve the last CO created for that user.Except in some cases I have recorded multiple COs on the same day for a same user and only one of the COs really matches the criteri

My company just started using SFDC this year. We've always targeted accounts, not leads so the leads and contacts definitions have been extremely difficult to get used to. Therefore, we are transitioning everyone to accounts & contacts. I'm concerned how this may affect the Marketo and Salesforce system. If you have any insights or know of any unintentional effects that this process may cause, I'd appreciate your sharing them with me.

I'm using Google's page speed insights tool to improve my landing page performance, and one of the top things it recommends is to "enable browser caching" for several of my assets hosted inside my Marketo instance (images, css files, etc). They provide this article to explain what they're talking about, but it looks like the patch needs to be applied server-side. Is there a way to enable this in Marketo? Will I just need to take the hit on their page speed rating (which directly impacts our SEO), or should I move these assets to another server that does allow caching?Thanks!

Hey guys.I have a new issue today for which I really need your help.We have a website developed using AEM 6.1 API and deployed in 6.1. Our website has some Java backend. One piece of our java code used the Externalizer class from AEM (com.day.cq.commons). Nothing rocket science so far.Then we had to deploy everything on AEM 6.2. Now on 6.2 that piece of code is not working anymore. AEM returns this exception out of the blue:… Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/day/cq/commons/Externalizer …(cannot post full stacktrace as we have confidential stuff)So the question is, why may that happen ?My first thought was that maybe something may have changed to the class loader on 6.2. So I dunno if I am on a totally wrong path, but I have compared the Dynamic Class Loader on both AEM versions. Again, maybe I looking in the wrong place, but I definitely think that error has something to do with class loading policies. So, what I saw is that on 6.1 the Dynamic Class Loader is implemented
