Hi As a very new person to marketo I need a some help with this. I am trying to create a small email script so that the value true is rpelaced with yes in the email and the value blank is replaced with No. A token is created on the program and I select email token. Then I insert the following# if (${lead.Customer_expect_to_be_contacted_by_Sales__c}== "true" )Yes # elseNo# ENDThen I insert the token into my email, but when I test it it dosent insert the value Yes/No but the code. It is like it treats the code as plain text or something. The result in the meail lokks like this # if (1== "true" ) Yes # else No # END.I found this example on the forum#if(${lead.fieldname} == "fieldvalue1")Email text here#elseif (${lead.fieldname} == "fieldvalue2")Email text here#elseEmail text here#endIs there somebody who can tell me what I am doing wrong.

I'm looking at leads with an empty acquisition program and it seems that some leads had one but that field is empty now. I looked into the lead activity and noticed that there was a "Change Program Status" from "Engaged" to "Not in program" for the specific program that is listed as Registration Source.I guess that can be the reason the Acquisition Program is now empty since the lead is no longer a member of the program that initially acquired it. Anyone can confirm that? I can't find what triggered the Change Program Status to Not in program, is it something done automatically by Marketo?Thanks,

I've read a few of the other discussions around the topic of duplicate leads but I wanted to share a specific example for feedback. When forms are completed on our website, we send all of the lead information into Marketo but withhold certain leads from syncing with Salesforce. There are certain forms that are great to go directly to the sales team in Salesforce right away and others that we'd rather keep in Marketo, nurture and score them, and then send them into Salesforce once their score hits a certain number. The challenge we have is that we get a lot of phone calls as part of our sales process. We sell custom-designed closet systems via EasyClosets.com and many leads end up calling to ask specific design related questions as they design their closet using our online design tool. In many situations, the lead is sitting in Marketo but hasn't reached a high enough score to be sent to Salesforce. The lead then picks up the phone, calls our sales team, and the sales person doesn't see

I've got an article (big article, as it has 3 videos embedded in it), that is constantly failing during upload. Just wondering if it's my article, or the platform. Anyone else having any issues?Thanks,Tommy

My limited test says "no," because preview apps must be signed with the developer profile, and iTunes Connect requires apps to be signed with the production/distribution profile.The followup question is how to get a preview app into the hands of testers or content reviewers. Send them the properly signed and provisioned .ipa to load to their device via iTunes?

Hi All,So following is a scenario which we often encounter :On successful registration of a user on our website, we generate an email verification link which is sent out to the user via an email. On clicking the link by the user, we set the isVerified status for that user to "True".We are trying to implement this scenario in Marketo.We are able to populate the custom fields using Marketo's REST API to Create/Update leads. There are two custom fields, one being the AccountVerificationLink (Type-Text Area) which has the email verification link that we send out to users "inserting tokens" in the email body. i.e. by using {{lead.accountVerificationLink}}.Another field is the isVerified (Type-Boolean) which is pre default set to "False".I want to automatically change the data value of field "isVerified" to "True" when a user opens the email and clicks on the email verification link which has been put there using tokens.How do you suggest I achieve this in Marketo ?Thanks a lot for all your

Hi everyone,I have the following problem. I've used static list to import some leads, but when I did the sync with salesforce, those leads are now duplicates. Using the same e-mail address.So, I have for example two ID number for 1 lead and the same information, but the source for one is a static list and the other one has source salesforce.How I can avoid to have duplicates when I use static lists and salesforce?Thank you in advance.

Hey,I would like to know is any way to add member from manually uploaded lists to the member of program through smart campaign only, so that I do not need to manual upload again? It seems from changing data value, only can change as "acquisition" to a new program, but in fact, it is not really acquired and we do not want that happen. Thx

Hi there!My company is new to Marketo and we're having some issues with the sync between Marketo and Salesforce.Cannot get the "comment" field in Marketo forms to sync w/ the "comments" field in a salesforce event field -- the name of the form goes into that comments field in Salesforce instead.Cannot get an email to be sent to the lead owner when the contact has synced with salesforce, or to a separate non-salesforce email. (This is all the "send alert" function in Marketo that isn't sending the alert!)Is there any way to sync campaigns between Marketo and Salesforce without making all recipients of say an email in the campaign new leads? (i.e. just updating their contact in salesforce?)Have opened inquiries w/ support but haven't heard back from them in a week! Any help is appreciated!Thank you!Taylor

Hi,  We are looking to put a Marketo form on our website where we are going to capture information from our Alumni.  We have a large number of Alumni person accounts already in SFDC (and Marketo).  With the form, we want it to create a new lead for any person who we do not already have in our system and for those who are already a person account, have Marketo update their details in SDFC, in the person account.  We have two record types (one for the lead and another for the person account) and we are finding that the person account is not being updated when an existing account has sent information in via the form.Obviously Marketo knows, based on the email, if the record already exists.  Do we have to map the two sets of fields (from the lead and person account) to the Marketo form and fields?  Also can we define both record type ids in the sync action?thanks Kris

Hi All,I just got an error message when I'm generating in The Lead database some segmentations about the number of employees per Company.I created only 5 ranges for segments like 1-5 emploeyees, 6-10 employees etc.When approving I got the following fault message back: Only 20 segmetations can be approved at a time.Who can help me?

Hey all,We recently embedded some Marketo forms on our Wordpress blog, to encourage readers to check out some of our long-form content. However, I've noticed that some new leads coming through these forms aren't getting their Acquisition Program populated to these content programs. Is this normal behavior, or am I missing something? All leads are correctly flowing through the campaign, and their Progression Status is being set to Engaged. So they are a member of the program, and the SFDC program, but new leads aren't getting Acquisition Program Name populated... any ideas?

Need to know if there are maximum numbers of entries for the metadata fields like keywords. Thanks

When a batch smart campaign or an email program is in the calendar, you can move it using Drag & Drop. Cool.But apparently, you cannot set the first schedule dragging the campaign or email program from the left hierarchy and dropping it to the appropriate date in the Event schedule view.Am I correct ?

DPS Article Export in InDesign:I'm missing the possibility to define the pages which I want to export to an article. Today you have to export all the pages whole the time. Is this on the roadmap? If not, where can I make a feature request.ThanksHaeme

This was never covered in our training, and I didn't even know it existed until now, but my supervisor asked about the Social Influence report, which is currently blank. We've been using Marketo since February 2014. I have no idea how this is supported to work, what it is exactly (he seems to think it would be some way to track our social pages like we track activity on our website, but I'm wondering if it's meant to be just for social sharing from campaigns?) but since it's not working, we don't know, and I literally cannot find anything on it anywhere on this site other than a thread from 2013 that was never answered. Can someone please point me to some answers on this? I don't know if it's just that the new community setup is awful and I can never find anything now, or if this is really some glaring thing that's missing.Thanks!
