Hi there!My company is new to Marketo and we're having some issues with the sync between Marketo and Salesforce.Cannot get the "comment" field in Marketo forms to sync w/ the "comments" field in a salesforce event field -- the name of the form goes into that comments field in Salesforce instead.Cannot get an email to be sent to the lead owner when the contact has synced with salesforce, or to a separate non-salesforce email. (This is all the "send alert" function in Marketo that isn't sending the alert!)Is there any way to sync campaigns between Marketo and Salesforce without making all recipients of say an email in the campaign new leads? (i.e. just updating their contact in salesforce?)Have opened inquiries w/ support but haven't heard back from them in a week! Any help is appreciated!Thank you!Taylor

Hi,  We are looking to put a Marketo form on our website where we are going to capture information from our Alumni.  We have a large number of Alumni person accounts already in SFDC (and Marketo).  With the form, we want it to create a new lead for any person who we do not already have in our system and for those who are already a person account, have Marketo update their details in SDFC, in the person account.  We have two record types (one for the lead and another for the person account) and we are finding that the person account is not being updated when an existing account has sent information in via the form.Obviously Marketo knows, based on the email, if the record already exists.  Do we have to map the two sets of fields (from the lead and person account) to the Marketo form and fields?  Also can we define both record type ids in the sync action?thanks Kris

Hi All,I just got an error message when I'm generating in The Lead database some segmentations about the number of employees per Company.I created only 5 ranges for segments like 1-5 emploeyees, 6-10 employees etc.When approving I got the following fault message back: Only 20 segmetations can be approved at a time.Who can help me?

I've been migrating my old articles to the new system to test out the beta but all of my layouts that are landscape only are getting letter-boxed. Can this new system only work in one orientation?

Hey all,We recently embedded some Marketo forms on our Wordpress blog, to encourage readers to check out some of our long-form content. However, I've noticed that some new leads coming through these forms aren't getting their Acquisition Program populated to these content programs. Is this normal behavior, or am I missing something? All leads are correctly flowing through the campaign, and their Progression Status is being set to Engaged. So they are a member of the program, and the SFDC program, but new leads aren't getting Acquisition Program Name populated... any ideas?

Need to know if there are maximum numbers of entries for the metadata fields like keywords. Thanks

When a batch smart campaign or an email program is in the calendar, you can move it using Drag & Drop. Cool.But apparently, you cannot set the first schedule dragging the campaign or email program from the left hierarchy and dropping it to the appropriate date in the Event schedule view.Am I correct ?

DPS Article Export in InDesign:I'm missing the possibility to define the pages which I want to export to an article. Today you have to export all the pages whole the time. Is this on the roadmap? If not, where can I make a feature request.ThanksHaeme

This was never covered in our training, and I didn't even know it existed until now, but my supervisor asked about the Social Influence report, which is currently blank. We've been using Marketo since February 2014. I have no idea how this is supported to work, what it is exactly (he seems to think it would be some way to track our social pages like we track activity on our website, but I'm wondering if it's meant to be just for social sharing from campaigns?) but since it's not working, we don't know, and I literally cannot find anything on it anywhere on this site other than a thread from 2013 that was never answered. Can someone please point me to some answers on this? I don't know if it's just that the new community setup is awful and I can never find anything now, or if this is really some glaring thing that's missing.Thanks!

I'm a new Marketo user. I created a new custom field but after thinking about it a little more I am not happy with the name I gave it. I would like either to delete it so I can start over or edit it so I can change that name. What's the best way?

I'm wondering about the offline capabilities of DPS 2015 apps... How does new content appear? Does it pop up automatically when a user is online? Do we send push notifications for them to manually update? Is old content available when offline? Etc etc... Any other info on this would be helpful as well.

I created a Smart List and added it to my engagement program. My question is, 'Member of Smart List' is a filter, not a trigger, so how do I make sure every new member of my Smart List is added to my engagement program? Does this happen automatically? Why doesn't Marketo have a trigger like, 'Added to Smart List'. Please help.

I am working on converting an InDesign magazine into a DPS article, but I can't export it as a DPS article because the ratios don't match. Is there a work around for this?

I'm really not sure what's going on with this. I've done this many times before, so I'm thinking this may be related to the latest build...I'm using a YouTube embed tag as HTML content on a custom page to play streaming video within an article. We're designing for iPhone 4, so the source ID file is 649 x 960.Being that it's a portrait phone app, I've got the embed tag set up in the center of the screen at 640x360. However, when the video loads, it looks like it is scaled at twice the size! The upper left quadrant of the YouTube red play icon is down in the lower right corner of my HTML content area. If I hit play - it even plays it that way, unless I rotate my screen and allow it to play fullscreen, landscape.I've got about 15 videos in my ExxonMobil app that I had done this exact same way and they work flawlessly. I've even tried copying one from the EM app and pasting it into the current app I'm developing, but to no avail. It has the same scaling problem.Can you please look into thi

Hello,I’m having trouble figuring out how to get Checkboxes data to transfer into Smart List flows to help trigger different actions as well as transmit data to our Salesforce reps.On a form I am building, I am utilizing a mandatory Checkboxes field where there are four options (A, B, C, D) and at least one checkbox needs to be ticked. If checkboxes A and C are checked, how is that info stored in a field in Marketo? Ideally, I’d like our Salesforce reps to see that A and C were checked. We would also send specific follow-up email messaging based on the checkboxes selected.I tried making a Smart List that would write these selected values to their own fields, but I don’t see any way for the Smart List Flow to update user data based on Checkboxes field selections – all I see is the initial form field but no pre-population of the checkbox options I put into the form.I could make the individual form checkbox fields A, B, C, and D and align them so they appear to be one set of checkboxes, b

Hi All,In order to optimize Marketo performance, we're thinking about switching from using Smart Lists for our suppression list to using Static Lists.But recently someone suggested we use Segmentations instead - because it seems to offer the performance of a Static List but functionality of a Smart List.Has anyone considered using Segmentations to populate your suppression lists instead of the more common use cases of using it for "Industry" or "Region"?I believe that there is a limitation to the types of filters allowed in Segmentations - for example no behavior based critera - but are there any others?Will using Segmentations improve the system performance compared to continuing to use Smart Lists?Thanks!

I've realized over the past week or so, that when viewing a lead record - which includes the following tabs:...whenever we refresh either of these tabs/views, that it only refreshes the data in that tab.  So let's say we're doing some testing to make sure our fields are syncing properly between Marketo and CRM.  I keep an eye on the activity log and as soon as I see the data has come over, I now need to click on the appropriate tab, like "Lead Info", and then hit "refresh" once again to see those changes reflected.  Same goes for all of the other tabs.  In the past, refreshing anywhere within the lead record would refresh each and every one of the tabs so you can quickly navigate to each one, knowing you would be viewing the most up-to-date data.  Is anyone seeing this behavior?

Playing with the new email editor and there are a few good things but also some stuff that needs to be improved.It was better to be able to see html vs text side-by-side (so you can see if something has been copied or not). This is useful for me because I have a lot of people who forget to do this and also sometimes the alignment doesn't come across very well.Find and Replace - can this not also be added into the code view?Font / Font Size selection - There used to be a "None" feature which was very helpful if for example you wanted to change back to your templates default size. You could just choose "Font size" and it would pick up the default template specified size.Also, for example we use a 13px font (which is not an option in the drop down list ) so now if out users change the font size, we cannot fix this without going into the code and changing it manually. Before I do that, I'm wondering what happens with people who are already in our system with the same email address. Does their profile get updated/merged and or replaced?

Hi all,I need to try to merge the contents of two fields in my instance.  Over time we have had create a 'Product Interest' field and also an 'Area of Interest' field.  What I would like to do is take everything from the 'Area of Interest' field and get it put into the 'Product Interest' field.  Is there a way to do this without overwriting what's already in the product interest field?ThanksJuli
