We are placing a form on a non Marketo landing page (our website) and we are looking to put a question on our form like "What Year Is It" that the client would have to fill out correctly in order to be able to submit the form to prevent spam.  I know how to make fields required, but I have no idea as to how and make predetermined field values (like 2014) required in order to submit.....any thoughts?

Hi all,I am still thinking in the lines of traditional AEM, where author enters the content, and after reviews/approval, it will be pushed to Publish.And it is the Publish that serves data to the outside world.This hold good for Mobile Web also.But for Mobile Apps, we could push from Author to Mobile Apps. is it true? Probably we could push from Publish also.What is the role of Publish server for AEM Mobile Apps?Why is it a deviation for mobile apps?Kindly send me a block diagram which shows author, publish, aem mobile, app store and mobile device.Thanks,Rama.

The way our sales team is set up in SFDC, all leads are owned by the sales rep. The inside rep assigned to that sales rep doesn't own any leads. Is there a way for the inside rep to see their assigned sales rep's "best bets"? The role hierarchy in SFDC is that the inside rep reports to the sales rep. I know that we can change the record owner to be the inside rep, however, that's not an option for us. Hoping there is still some way they can still see their assigned rep's leads... Thanks!

I'm working with AEM 6.2I've created a template, and would like to create a page based off of it.However, when I go to create my page, I get a blank screen after I click "Next".How can I fix this, or otherwise create a page based off of a template?

Hi,I changed the error log threshold from "info" to "warn". Still I see info messages in my log. I want to get rid of these info messages and I want to log only warn and error logs in the error log file. I checked this link : http://cq-ops.tumblr.com/post/78113074496/how-to-suppress-informational-log-messages-fromBut I dont want to create the log for any specific bundle or class. I want to have all warn/error logs at one place so the server maintenance team can identify the real problems more easily. Am I missing something in the configuration ?Can someone help me how to achieve this ?

Good day,While figuring out the right way to configure closed user groups for my AEM 6.0 publisher, I came across the option to enable/disable CUG roots (in the OSGI configuration of component com.day.cq.auth.impl.cug.CugSupportImpl). At the moment, the CUG roots option is enabled.I'm having trouble figuring out what exactly this option entails. I've tried Google and the AEM and JCR documentation, but I'm not finding a clear explanation.Can someone explain what CUG roots are and what the consequences would be if I were to disable them in the OSGI configuration of component com.day.cq.auth.impl.cug.CugSupportImpl?Thanks!

I'm working to create a ticket for our AEM developer.We need a live character counter on the title and meta description field in Page Properties. We don't want to set a hard limit on the page title and meta description length, however, we want to remind AEM authors that Google and most search engines only show about 55 characters of the title tag and 155 characters of the meta description. Is there built-in functionality to implement something like this? Our developer talked about doing a check when the author saves the dialog, but a live character count would be more efficient. Also, I know there is a place to add explanatory text for the dialogs as well, but I haven't used AEM since CQ 4.1. Can you remind me where to find this?  

What kinds of things are you doing for data normalization? My company is fairly new to Marketo, though I have been using it for over a year at different companies. My previous instance was very mature and had ReachForce and many different data normalization programs set up for state, country, etc. and I am trying to get these set up in my new instance. Has anyone used Reachforce or something else, like StrikeIron?

Hello all,as the title says, I need help with a velocity script I'm planning to use on a campaign to be sent out in the next days. Let me start by saying that I am not a developer, so the extent of my ability with Velocity is quite limited...The velocity script simply shows a list of names and dates in a table-like format, but I've come across a couple of obstacles:1. the date format seems to be the "american" one (mm-dd-yyyy), however it would be best if it showed in the "european" format (dd-mm-yyyy). A workaround I found to avoid adding more code to the script is to have the "Date" field on the custom object as a string instead of a date, but I fear that doing so might hinder or limit some features related to smart campaign operators.2. this is the most important: is there a way to limit the number of records appearing on the email to just those that are added each time? For example, if I use the "Added to custom object" trigger to send an email to a lead that already has 4 records

After implementing DTM on a web site, the numbers for weekly visits and weekly unique visitors seems about 2x what they should be. ie. in comparison to pre-DTM and also what would make sense based on our number of users.  Any ideas why this would happen and how to prevent it.

I have noticed that when you edit an image in Email Editor 2.0, it forces you to enter a height value for every image. (Using the editor 2.0 syntax, I am using the div method, i.e. using div class="mktoImg" with an image tag inside.)When you edit the image in the editor, if you try to leave the height field blank, you get a validation error and can't save your image:In the old email editor, you were able to leave the height field blank so that the HTML height="xx" attribute would not be added to your image/s. This was perfect because it allowed you to have fluid templates where all images resized proportionally.Forcing a fixed height to be added to images is a problem for fluid templates because images will become distorted like the example below left.This is particularly a problem in Gmail because you cannot override the HTML height attribute with height:auto. Gmail's CSS pre-processor changes every instance of CSS height to min-height, rendering it useless against an HTML height attr

I've just installed the Gmail plug-in and when I click on 'load Marketo templates' it say's there isn't any available. Does anyone know how to configure your templates so they show up?Thanks!

We are working on a custom tool to help manage sales meetings/demos. Part of this will involve sending email invitations to the invitees. After looking through the documentation, and searching on Google, our developer has two questions for the community:Is it possible to use the Marketo web api to send an email without that email being a part of a Request Campaign?Is it possible to use the Marketo web api to add an attachment to an email and then send that email?

Is there an option to count a unique click for a user on a page, eg, a user comes on a page and clicks 5 links but the unique click event only gives a count of 1 for that particular user.

We used 3rd party booking engine for hotel booking and so we have cross domain issue. As every time people go to reserve a room, they will be redirected to 3rd party booking engine and complete the reservation there. So cannot pass the "source" value back.We used friendly 3rd party cookie in 3rd party booking engine and added "internal url filter" , while it turns out In the last touch marketing channel report, we see that around 50% of hotel bookings falls under "internal" last touch marketing channel report.May I know anyone experience this issue? As part of a test implementation I have to track the videos played through omniture milestone tracking. The player is ooyala version 3. I am able to get the code where alert is print once the video is played for 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of the total video length. Question is how can i bind these with events in omniture. I did some implementation but i guess, the reports are coming blank for these custom events. The logic is once the video reaches 25% mark, event1 should be fired, if 50% mark, event2 should be fired and so on. and these custom events in omniture should return the counts so that i will know how many times these events have been fired... My company is migrating from Target Classic to Premium so we are using both tools currently. I am testing the Test and Target API (https://testandtarget.omniture.com/api?) for some features, but it seems that the API only returns the result from the Classic. When I test with the asset on the Premium, it returns 400 status. Does this API not work with the Premium? Thanks.
